Daisy (Adopted)

11/3/23:  I’m out of here and headed to Vermont with Lynn.  She likes a girl with spirit and personality so I was the perfect choice for her.  It was a long trip home and I was a good rider but slept a lot.  Once here I met Merlin who is my new collie friend.  He was happy to see me and have a playmate.  I met the horses and they are a bit scary but I’m sure I will get use to them being a farm girl now.

7/29/23:  I am a 3 year old tri collie girl at 45 pounds.  I am house, crate trained and great on the leash.  I get along with the other dogs but I do like to be the boss.  I enjoy a good game of fetch and snuggling next to my person.  I sometimes get over excited and will bark, jump and nip.  This is something we are working on and it would benefit me to go to an obedience class.  No cats for me please.

9/8/23:  Jim  came to take me home today and already has so many supplies for me.  I have a seatbelt in the car to keep me safe and I didn’t mind it at all.  Once here we went for a great walk together and then I played with my new toys.  I think I am the happiest boy ever.

8/22/23:  Just look at me gaining weight and my coat is starting to grow.  I’m a sweet, little fellow that is very easy to train because I will do anything for food.  I will run right to my crate and wait for treats or dinner.  I’m doing great on leash walking and basic commands.  I’m doing pretty good at riding in the car too.  I love toys and learning to play fetch.

7/12/23:  My people took me to the animal shelter emaciated and covered in fleas.  I’m a loving, little fellow at 40 pounds and the rescue folks are guessing me to be about 1 ½ years old.  There is plenty of food here and I need to gain at least five pounds.   I have had no accidents in the house and crate trained.  I am learning basic commands and leash walking.  I get along great with the other dogs but don’t want the others getting near my food bowl.  It is a survival instinct and hoping that will stop when I realize the food is going to keep coming.  This good life is all new to me.

8/31/23:  I am happy to have joined the Hoffer Family.  They have been missing their collie that passed.  I am so glad they have picked me to fill that spot in their hearts.  I receive all the attention I could ever want and already so much loved.  I picked me a spot out on the couch and love my new home and family.

8/22/23:  Well it turned out that I had heartworms and was treated to get rid of those.  I got a beauty treatment at the groomer and I was a perfect gentleman.  I am housetrained, crate trained and do great walking on the leash.  I’m good with the other dogs as long as they aren’t bossy and don’t mind the cat.  I enjoy being pet and have my belly rubbed.
