Frasier (Adopted)

10/21/23:  I have found my new home with Debbie and we are perfect together.  We go for a 5 mile walk each day and will be going to obedience class soon.  I have adjusted to having cats around and now have free roam of the house. It is wonderful to have my very own person who will love and care for me.

8/22/23:  1’m a 1 ½ year old collie fellow at about 50 pounds.  I’m at the rescue because my person couldn’t keep me.  My training has been neglected so we are starting from scratch.  I’m learning not to jump up on people, leash walking and basic commands.  I’m great with the housetraining and crate training.  I’m a sweet fellow with a lot to learn, pretty good with the other dogs but a bit over exuberant and learning to play with them. I like to keep a tidy yard so I pick up all the toys and bring them onto the deck.

Sammy (Adopted)

9/19/23: The Willemain’s have decided to give this old guy a home.  I’m going to live out my days being loved and getting all the pets I could ever want if that is possible.  I have settled in, met all the neighbors and they love me.  Jim and I go for a walk every day and he really enjoys having a walking buddy.  I am so relaxed and content here and even started to play with my stuffed toys. I am so very happy.

8/7/23:  Hello folks, my name is Sammy and I am a senior fellow at 11 years old.  My folks felt like I wasn’t getting enough attention so I came into the rescue to find another home.  I’m a sweet, loving kid of guy that is housetrained and rarely ever bark.  I enjoy going for leisurely walks and good on rides in the car.  I would really like to be the only dog but I don’t mind cats.  I’m in good health and have been well cared for.  I just need someone to love me while I live out my days.

The rescue realizes it is hard to take in a senior and love them as if they be with you forever.  These seniors are suddenly without the home they have always known and need a friend to give them a place to live out their senior years.  The seniors are like puppies without all the bad habits and always doing things to make you laugh.  The rescue will pay for all approved medical cost and all you have to do is love them.  We do still require a fenced yard, vet check and home visit.  Most of the seniors cannot do many steps.

Bronco (Adopted)

8/13/23:  Nobody could figure out why I wouldn’t walk on the grass.  When the Morgan’s came to visit don’t you know I walked right out to the middle of the yard to greet them.  Everyone was astounded but I knew this was the family for me.  We go for lots of walks together and I have found me a great spot on the couch.  I just love it here and the cats like me too.

8/13/23:  I’m a 1 ½ year old collie fellow at about 55 pounds.  I lived on four acres but since there was no fence I would sometimes wonder off.  My person felt it would be safer for me to find a home with a fenced yard.  I am a perfect gentleman on the leash, housetrained and crate trained.  I am great with the other dogs and ok with the cats also.  I am an easy going, gentle kind of guy that rarely barks.  Although I lived on 4 acres I do not like walking in the grass.  I will step off the patio into the grass just far enough to do my business then back on the patio.  I won’t even follow the other dogs into the grass when we are playing.  Don’t try pulling me into the grass because that won’t work either.  The rescue folks are not sure why I do not like the grass.  I’m a healthy fellow and do not have allergies to the grass.
