Kaien (Adopted)

8/15/24:  Today I am going home with Miss Nina and I will be sleeping in her room.  We girls are going to do so many things together and this is the perfect home for me.

7/31/24:  I am a 3 year old collie girl at 50 pounds.  I’m at the rescue because my people no longer wanted me and decided to give me away.  As a puppy I was a house dog that learned housetraining and crate training.  After a while they stuck me outside in the red clay mud with a dog house.  Let me just say I am so happy to be here learning manners so I will be ready for my new home.  They named me Kaien like the pepper because I was orange from the mud.  I had a much needed bath and the first picture is before bathing.  I missed out on somethings I should have been taught like stealing from the counter getting in the trash and jumping up.  We are working on these, and I am catching on.  I am good with the other dogs as long as they stay out of my food and don’t mind the cats.  Doing good with leash walking and basic commands.  I have a very manageable coat and enjoy brushing.

Thank you Deirdre Richards for helping with my medical needs.

Lannie (Adopted)

7/30/24:  Going home with Leslie and David today.  They were a bit torn which one to pick but I let the other dogs know they were to be my family.  When we got home I met the other kids and it is good I will have playmates.  We all piled on the bed and had a great afternoon nap. This is the perfect life for me and I am so glad to have joined the Knauss Family.

7/21/24:  I am a 3 year old collie fellow at about 55 pounds.  I am at the rescue because my family was having financial problems.  I’m a great guy knowing basic commands, walk well on the leash, housetrained and crate trained.  I don’t chew up things and have perfect house manners.  I get along great with the other dogs and don’t mind the cats.

7/29/24:  They Palmer’s were ready to adopt another collie after their fellow crossed the bridge.  I’m happy to say I am that fellow and so excited to be joining the family.  It was a long trip home and then I checked everything out before taking a nap.  This morning we went for a long walk together and I think this is the perfect home for me.

7/26/24:  I’m a seven year old collie fellow at about 65 pounds.  Due to financial problems my person could no longer take care of me.  I am happy to be at the rescue where they have lots of food and flea treatment.  You might notice my right eye looks a little wonky (dog medical term) and that my bottom eye lid droops.  Turns out I have Horner’s Syndrome which is a neurological disorder affecting the eye and facial area, but it’s not life-threatening or painful.  It does not affect my vision and improvement typically occurs within 8 weeks but some may only recover partially.  I’m a great fellow getting along with the other dogs and cats also.  I know all my basic commands and walk with a loose leash like a perfect gentleman.  I will hop right in the car and enjoy rides.
