Winston and Robbie (Adopted)

12/1/24:  We had almost given up hope that anyone would adopt us. We watched so many others find their new homes while we remained behind. They kept saying the right people would come for us eventually, but we were starting to doubt it. Then, out of nowhere, the Broich family walked in, and we knew right away they were the ones we had been waiting for. They were here to take us home.

Today, we’re the happiest boys ever! The ride home went smoothly, we explored the yard, chased a rabbit, had a delicious dinner, and got plenty of belly rubs. Then it was time for a long, satisfied nap. We are finally home!

10/8/24:  We went to the groomer this week for a bath, massage and brushing.  We think we are looking very handsome now and ready for our new home.  Dieting is going great and we have lost a few pounds. We are two of the sweetest boys you will ever meet and just want to be by your side.

9/8/24:  We are at the rescue because mom has terminal brain cancer and dad had to move to assisted living because of physical limitations.  We have been together all our lives and would very much like to stay together.  We need to lose a lot of weight and will need someone that will keep us on our diets and help us exercise.  Currently we are eating weight management food with green beans.  We are housetrained, crate trained but don’t need one, good on leash walks, rides in the car and know basic commands.  We are up to date on vaccinations, neutered and will be going to the groomer this week.  We are very good, easy going guys that are no trouble at all.

Winston is a sable merle at 5 years old, 91 pounds and depends on Robbie.

Robbie is sable and white at 6 years old and 75 pounds,

Thank you Stanley, Johnsen, Deborah Brown and Maria Maxwell for helping us fellows.

Marlowe (Adopted)

11/23/24:  Cindy and Jim came to me meet and take me home today.  They have always had a collie in the family and adopted many from CRC.  I have so many new toys here and a great yard to run and play in.  I will never be tied to a tree again and there is no doubt I am going to be very spoiled here.

9/22/24:  I am about a 2 year old, tri collie girl that has been tied to a tree most of my life.  Thank goodness the rescue came to get me because that man was going to shoot me between the eyes if they didn’t.  I am so happy to be here that I am trying to do everything asked of me.  I go in my crate, doing great with the housetraining, walking pretty good on the leash and will start to learn basic commands.  I get along with the other dogs and enjoy running around in the fenced yard.  I am a loving, little girl that is looking forward to a better life.

Jonas (Adopted)

11/16/24:  Today I am going home with the Weghorst’s.  When we get there, I will meet Jack who will be my new dog friend.  He has been missing his buddy since he passed.  I am so happy to have a home and family of my very own.  I have come a long way since being tied to a tree.  Thanks everyone that helped to make this happen for me.

9/22/24:  I am about a 2 year old, sable collie boy that has been tied to a tree most of my life.  Thank goodness the rescue came to get me because that man was going to shoot me between the eyes if they didn’t.  I don’t really like the crate but will go in for a hotdog and we are working on that.  All these things are new to me and I am a bit cautious at first.  I am doing well with the housetraining and pretty good walking on the leash.  I get along with the other dogs and love the freedom of the fenced yard.  I can be a little shy until I get to know you but love to get pets.

Thank you Josue Pacheo for helping me on my way to a better life.
