Spirit (Adopted)

8/1/25:  Today is the best day of my life and I have found a home with the Dyson Family.  After losing their male collie, they decided to give a rescue like me a chance at a wonderful life. I’ve already made a new friend, Josie, who’s showing me all the ins and outs of family living. I’m settling in beautifully, soaking up all the love and attention, and I truly feel like the luckiest dog in the world.

7/29/25:  Things have really started looking up for me lately, and I’ve had a lot of new experiences! I went to the groomer and came out looking like a brand-new dog. Then it was off to the vet for vaccinations and to be neutered. I’m getting the hang of leash walking and have mastered crate training.  I’ve also learned how nice it is to be petted and if you sit down, I’ll come over and ask for some attention. I’m doing much better about coming inside when called, especially now that the weather is so hot. I’m a smart guy and figured out the dog door within my first week here.  I’d love to have another dog in my new home, one to play with and help boost my confidence. I get along great with both males and females. As for cats, I’m a little scared of them, so I leave them alone.  I’ll need someone patient who will give me the time I need to settle in and adjust to a normal, loving life.

6/5/25:  Hello friends, I’m a one-year-old collie boy weighing about 65 pounds. Life hasn’t been very kind to me so far.  I spent my early days in a fenced area with several other dogs and hardly any human interaction. Because of that, I’m still a little shy around people, but I’m starting to learn what it feels like to be safe, cared for, and loved.  My coat is pretty matted right now, but I have a grooming appointment scheduled for next week. It will feel so good to get those mats out and let my skin breathe again. After that, I’ll be heading to the vet for my vaccinations and neuter.  I’m a work in progress and beginning a brand-new chapter. Please check back for updates as I continue to grow and heal.

Finn (Adopted)

7/20/25:  Today I joined the Rahm Family, and it already feels like home. They’ve had many collies over the years and really know how to make a dog feel loved. I’ve settled in so easily you’d think I’d been here all along! I’m getting tons of attention and affection in my wonderful new home.

7/7/25:  I’m a six-month-old little guy in search of a new home! I’m doing well with housetraining, pretty good on a leash, and I’m learning my basic commands. I’m crate trained, but I’m not a big fan of being in there for long. My previous family realized that having a toddler and a young pup at the same time was a bit too much. I get along great with other dogs and don’t mind the cat but I might give chase if they take off running!

Wesley (Adopted)

6/29/25:  The Swansons are the perfect match for me and we all knew it the moment they arrived. I’m settling into beach life and really enjoying our walks by the shore. As you can see, I’ve already made myself at home, especially with this amazing new bed. Kenny and Juan love me so much, and I couldn’t be happier to be the newest member of their family.

6/4/25:  The family who came to meet me had a shared fence with neighbors who own two basset hounds—and let’s just say, those hounds weren’t exactly welcoming. It wasn’t anything I did, but because of that, I came back to the rescue.  I’m a friendly, easygoing guy who gets along well with just about everyone—humans, other dogs, and even cats (though I might give chase if they run). I recently had a spa day at the groomer, and with all that thick undercoat gone, I’m looking much slimmer!  I do enjoy a good game of fetch and even bring the toy back and drop it for another throw. When I’m outside and ready to come in, I let out a pleasant little yodel to let you know. I ride well in the car, walk nicely on a loose leash, and of course, I’m housetrained. I’m also crate trained, though I really don’t need one.

5/11/25:  Hello, I’m a 3-year-old Collie boy who found myself at the shelter after my family could no longer keep me. I’m a big, classic-style Collie, tipping the scales at 80 pounds. You might notice my charming “lazy ear” that flops instead of standing up—just one of the little things that makes me unique. All my vet work is done, and now I just need a good grooming. Stay tuned—my rescue friends will share more about me as they get to know me better!
